THE COMPLETENESS OF GRACE
The glory of God is Jesus Christ himself so we can't do anything to add something for that glory. Thinking that our good works can earn God's favor is wrong. When no one dared to glorify God, God glorified himself by the obedience of His son on the cross. This makes the grace of God a gift. It is something we don't work for but freely given. If God so loved us and saved us freely, what can we do in return if we can't do anything to pay for it? The answer can't be found on paying it back but on sharing that gift. It is the great commission we have. To spread the message of salvation is not entrusted to angels who minister to God with such accuracy in the spirit. It was bestowed on us, mortals. So don't you think lowly of yourself. Many will be saved through your life if you only allow God to use it. We can't add something to God's glory but every good work is already destined to glorify Him. So as we come to know God, those good works will be fulfilled to testify for Him. Today, let Jesus be a reality in our lives and all will see how great is our God.

TEMPTATION
Jester Cuyno
Sunday Service
Things to consider:
1. Temptation vs. Testing
2. Who won and lost against the devil
3, Cause and Effect of own choice
Temptation
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
Testing
Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.
Example of temptation
David and Bathsheba
2 Samuel 11:1 In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. 2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,

Temptation
James 1:13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
The woman was very beautiful,
3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.” 4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home. 5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”
Temptation comes from...
1. YOUR OWN DESIRE
James 1:14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.
2. Anything that's pleasing to the eye
verse 2 “...From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,”
3. Other people
verse 2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,
4. Your situation; either in comfort or pain
verse 1 In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king’s men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.
How to fight temptation
1. Look to Jesus
Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
2. Resist the Devil
James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Merriam-webster Dictionary
Resist: to withstand the force or effect of
3. Control yourself
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
4. Calculate the consequences
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.
Example of Testing
Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness
Luke 4:1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 where for forty days he was tempted[a] by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry. 3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’[b]” “‘He will command his angels concerning you to guard you carefully;
5 The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7 If you worship me, it will all be yours.” 8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’[c]” 9 The devil led him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here.
10 For it is written: 11 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[d]” 12 Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’[e]” 13 When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.
Solution of Jesus
Prayer
Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Devotion
verse 8 of Luke 4 Jesus answered, “It is written
